Phase-one deal between China, America substantial step forward: US expert
The phase-one economic and trade agreement between China and the United States to be signed on Wednesday in Washington is a substantial step forward for both countries, said a U.S. business leader on Tuesday.
Craig Allen, president of United States-China Business Council, gave this positive comments on the deal during an exclusive interview with China Global Television Network.
The business leader also said that economies of China and the U.S. are interdependent and it would be great for both countries to keep the good momentum and accelerate the progress.
"The agreement will not be full it will not be perfect but it is a substantial step forward and it addresses some of the major concerns of American companies. Our two economies are really very tightly integrated, synergistic and interdependent. That's a good thing. It's a good thing because it ensures the peace and it allows both countries to play their economic strength. And we want to see that continue and indeed we wish to accelerate that," said Allen.
