Founded by Saudi Arabia's General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI), the WDS is held every two years to showcase the latest technological developments from around the globe. This year's event marks the third edition of the WDS, running from Feb. 8 to 12. Chinese exhibitors have put on display a range of advanced weapons and equipment for land, sea and air defense. The China North Industries Corporation (NORINCO), a leading provider traditionally known for developing and manufacturing land warfare equipment, has drawn significant attention with its innovative display centered around unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The standout piece, the Golden Eagle CR500B unmanned attack reconnaissance helicopter, is featured prominently at the center of their exhibit. The CR500B can integrate seamlessly with ground-based unmanned vehicles, unmanned boats and robotic systems using a data link. This represents a strategic shift in warfare tactics, signaling that while China continues to produce high-quality tanks and artillery, its approach to future land combat is evolving. The China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited (CSSC) also made waves at the exhibition, showcasing its amphibious assault ship and a robust array of defense products. The booth of another Chinese company highlights an impressive selection of air defense missiles, including the Hongqi series, capable of establishing a multi-layered defense system addressing threats at various ranges. Among the more economical offerings is a high-energy laser weapon, notable for its low operational costs. Unlike traditional weapons, this innovative system relies merely on electricity to neutralize threats, offering an effective solution against diverse drone challenges. This development reflects a commitment to countering emerging threats on possible future battlefields with cost-efficient and powerful technologies. The aviation production area features the J-10C, a fighter jet that has gained fame in previous airshows and has continued to attract interest from military observers and enthusiasts alike. Notably, the L-15A jet trainer is also showcased at the exhibition, not for its combat achievements, but for its success in the international arms market. During the flight demonstration on the opening day of the 2025 Dubai Airshow in November 2025, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Air Force's Fursan Al-Emarat aerobatic team, equipped with the newly acquired L15-A jet trainers, took the lead and presented a spectacular 29-minute aerobatic performance. عرضت الشركات الصينية أحدث أسلحتها ومعداتها في معرض الدفاع العالمي 2026، الذي انطلق يوم الأحد/8 فبراير الجاري في العاصمة السعودية الرياض، لعرض قدرات الصين الدفاعية الوطنية. يُقام المعرض، الذي أسسته الهيئة العامة للصناعات العسكرية في المملكة العربية السعودية، كل عامين لعرض أحدث التطورات التكنولوجية من جميع أنحاء العالم. وتُعدّ دورة هذا العام هي الثالثة من المعرض، الذي يُقام في الفترة من 8 إلى 12 فبراير. قام العارضون الصينيون بعرض مجموعة من الأسلحة والمعدات المتطورة للدفاع البري والبحري والجوي. استقطبت شركة نورينكو (NORINCO)، وهي شركة رائدة معروفة بتطوير وتصنيع معدات الحرب البرية، اهتماماً كبيراً بعرضها المبتكر الذي يتمحور حول الطائرات المسيّرة. وتحتل طائرة الهليكوبتر الهجومية الاستطلاعية المسيّرة من طراز "غولدن إيغل CR500B" مكانة بارزة في قلب جناح الشركة. يمكن دمج نظام "CR500B" بسلاسة مع المركبات البرية غير المأهولة والقوارب غير المأهولة والأنظمة الروبوتية باستخدام وصلة بيانات. ويمثل هذا تحولاً استراتيجياً في تكتيكات الحرب، مما يشير إلى تطور نهج الصين في القتال البري المستقبلي، مع مواصلة إنتاجها للدبابات والمدفعية التقليدية. كما أحدثت شركة الصين الحكومية لبناء السفن (CSSC) ضجة في المعرض، حيث تم عرض سفينة هجوم برمائية، بالإضافة إلى مجموعة قوية من المنتجات الدفاعية. وسلط جناح شركة صينية أخرى الضوء على مجموعة رائعة من صواريخ الدفاع الجوي، بما في ذلك سلسلة صواريخ "هونغتشي" القادرة على إنشاء نظام دفاعي متعدد الطبقات لمعالجة التهديدات في نطاقات مختلفة. وكان سلاح الليزر عالي الطاقة من بين الخيارات الأكثر اقتصادية، حيث يتميز بانخفاض تكاليف تشغيله. وعلى عكس الأسلحة التقليدية، يعتمد هذا النظام المبتكر على الكهرباء فقط لتحييد التهديدات، مما يوفر حلاً فعالاً لمواجهة تحديات الطائرات المسيّرة المتنوعة. وقد عكس هذا التطور الالتزام بمواجهة التهديدات الناشئة في ساحات المعارك المستقبلية المحتملة بتقنيات فعّالة من حيث قلة التكلفة وقوة الأداء. أما عن قسم إنتاج الطائرات، فقد ضم الطائرة المقاتلة من طراز "J-10C"، وهي الطائرة التي اكتسبت شهرة في عروض جوية سابقة، وما زالت تجذب اهتمام المراقبين العسكريين والمتحمسين على حد سواء. جدير بالذكر أن طائرة التدريب النفاثة من طراز "L-15A" يتم عرضها أيضاً في المعرض، ليس لإنجازاتها القتالية، بل لنجاحها في سوق الأسلحة العالمية. وخلال العرض الجوي في اليوم الافتتاحي لمعرض دبي للطيران 2025 في نوفمبر الماضي، قدّم فريق فرسان الإمارات للاستعراضات الجوية التابع للقوات الجوية الإماراتية، والمجهز بطائرات التدريب النفاثة L-15A التي تم اقتناؤها حديثاً، عرضاً جوياً مذهلاً استمر 29 دقيقة.
