A partir du 1er mai, les produits de 53 pays africains qui entretiennent des relations diplomatiques avec la Chine pourront entrer dans le pays en franchise de droits de douane, l'objectif principal étant de faciliter les exportations de produits africains vers le marché chinois, de promouvoir le développement des industries de transformation d'Afrique, d'accroître la valeur ajoutée des produits africainset de favoriser les créations d’emplois dans le continent. "Bien évidemment, nous avons accueilli avec beaucoup de respect et beaucoup de satisfaction la décision de Son Excellence le Président Xi Jinping d'offrir aux pays africains avec lesquels la Chine entretient des relations diplomatiques une taxation nulle de leur exportation vers la Chine. Pour le Maroc, bien sûr, c'est une offre intéressante et nous espérons qu'à travers cette généreuse offre de la Chine que l'on pourrait augmenter le volume des exportations marocaines vers la Chine", a apprécié l'ambassadeur. Il a également mis l'accent sur le potentiel considérable du marché chinois et la volonté des exportateurs marocains de s'y implanter. "Le marché chinois est un marché immense. C'est un marché très important pour tout le monde et pour tous les pays, je pense, et les exportateurs marocains souhaitent également pouvoir pénétrer ce marché dans un certain nombre de créneaux. Nous pensons aux produits agricoles, aux produits agro-industriels, aux produits transformés. Nous pensons aux produits de la mer, à l'artisanat. Donc, il y a de réelles potentialités de promotion des exportations marocaines vers la Chine. Comme il y a bien sûr le marché marocain est également un marché qui est ouvert aux exportations chinoises, donc bien sûr, les exportateurs marocains à travers leurs associations, à travers leur fédération sont conscients de l'importance du marché chinois et ils vont bien sûr s'organiser avec le soutien de l'ambassade pour pouvoir bénéficier au mieux de cette opportunité", a-t-il poursuivi. China's expanded zero-tariff policy for African nations will help Morocco increase its exports into the vast Chinese market across a range of sectors, Morocco's ambassador to China said on Monday. In September 2024, President Xi Jinping announced China's decision to give all least developed countries having diplomatic relations with China, including 33 countries in Africa, zero-tariff treatment for 100 percent tariff lines. Back in February, Xi announced that China will fully implement zero-tariff treatment for 53 African countries who have diplomatic relations with China starting from May 1 this year. With the policy set to take effect this Friday, a Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson said on Wednesday that the move demonstrates the shared commitment of China and Africa to contributing to global peace and development with stability, adding that China will steadily enhance trade facilitation with Africa. In an interview with the China Global Television Network (CGTN), Abdelkader El Ansari, the Moroccan ambassador to China, welcomed the decision and expressed his expectation that the policy would bring new opportunities for Moroccan exporters to tap into the Chinese market. "For Morocco, of course, this is an interesting offer, and we hope that through this generous offer from China we can increase the volume of Moroccan exports to China", he said El Ansari emphasized the considerable potential the Chinese market holds to Moroccan exporters, noting the opportunities available in a diverse number of sectors.
