Pezeshkian made the remarks in a phone call with Iraqi Prime Minister-Designate Ali al-Zaidi on the day. According to the Iraqi statement, the two sides also agreed to exchange official visits in the coming period to strengthen bilateral ties. Meanwhile, Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said on Tuesday that Iran had decided not to waste time on issues where an agreement remains elusive, emphasizing that the current priority is to focus on ending the ongoing war.
