Iran will soon unveil a "professional mechanism" on managing the traffic in the Strait of Hormuz along a designated route, a senior Iranian lawmaker said Saturday, without specifying the exact timing of the disclosure.
Ebrahim Azizi, chairman of the Iranian parliament's national security and foreign policy committee, wrote on social media platform X that the route will "remain closed" to the operators of Project Freedom, a U.S. military operation aimed at guiding commercial vessels out of the strait.
"In this process, only commercial vessels and parties cooperating with Iran will benefit from it," he said, adding that Iran will collect the "necessary fees" for "the specialized services provided under this mechanism."
The United States and Israel launched joint military strikes against Tehran and other Iranian cities on Feb. 28, killing Iran's then Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, senior Iranian officials and civilians. Iran responded with missile and drone attacks against Israel and U.S. interests in the region and tightened control over the Strait of Hormuz.
A ceasefire between the United States and Iran took effect on April 8, which was followed by talks between Iranian and U.S. delegations in Pakistan's Islamabad on April 11 and 12 that ended without an agreement. Later, the United States imposed its own blockade on the strait.
Since the ceasefire, U.S. and Iranian forces have engaged in multiple direct exchanges of fire in and around the strait.
On Monday, U.S. President Donald Trump told Fox News that he was considering restarting Project Freedom with an expanded scope, yet no final decision had been made.

Ebrahim Azizi, presidente del Comité de Seguridad Nacional y Política Exterior del Parlamento iraní, escribió en la red social X que la ruta "permanecerá cerrada" para los operadores del Proyecto Libertad, una operación militar de Estados Unidos destinada a guiar a los buques comerciales fuera del estrecho.
"En este proceso, solo buques comerciales y las partes que cooperan con Irán se beneficiarán de él", aseguró Azizi, y añadió que Irán recaudará las "tarifas necesarias" para "los servicios especializados que se proveen bajo este mecanismo".
Estados Unidos e Israel lanzaron una serie de ataques conjuntos contra Teherán y otras ciudades iraníes el 28 de febrero, lo que causó la muerte del entonces líder supremo iraní, Alí Jamenei, de importantes funcionarios iraníes y de civiles. Irán respondió con ataques con misiles y drones contra Israel e intereses de Estados Unidos en la región, así como con el endurecimiento del control sobre el estrecho de Ormuz.

وأوضح: "في هذه العملية، لن يستفيد منها سوى السفن التجارية والأطراف المتعاونة مع إيران"، مضيفًا أن إيران ستحصل على "الرسوم اللازمة" مقابل "الخدمات المتخصصة المقدمة في إطار هذه الآلية".
شنت الولايات المتحدة وإسرائيل ضربات عسكرية مشتركة ضد طهران ومدن إيرانية أخرى في 28 فبراير، مما أسفر عن مقتل المرشد الأعلى الإيراني آنذاك علي خامنئي ومسؤولين إيرانيين كبار ومدنيين. وردت إيران بهجمات صاروخية وضربات بطائرات مسيرة ضد إسرائيل والمصالح الأمريكية في المنطقة، وشددت سيطرتها على مضيق هرمز.

L'Iran dévoilera prochainement un "mécanisme professionnel" pour gérer le trafic maritime dans le détroit d'Ormuz le long d'un itinéraire déterminé, a déclaré samedi Ebrahim Azizi, président de la commission de la sécurité nationale et de la politique étrangère du Parlement iranien, sans préciser la date exacte à laquelle cette annonce sera faite.
M. Azizi a écrit sur X que cet itinéraire "restera fermé" aux opérateurs du Projet liberté (Project Freedom, en anglais), une opération militaire américaine visant à guider les navires marchands hors du détroit.
"Dans ce cadre, seuls les navires commerciaux et les parties coopérant avec l'Iran en bénéficieront", a-t-il averti, ajoutant que l'Iran percevrait les "redevances nécessaires" pour "les services spécialisés fournis dans le cadre de ce mécanisme".

4月8日に「2週間停戦」が発表されて間もなく、12日にはパキスタンの首都イスラマバードで米イラン協議が行われたが、核問題などをめぐる意見の隔たりは埋まらず、合意には至らなかった。その後、米国は独自判断で海峡封鎖に踏み切った。
停戦以降、米軍とイラン軍は海峡内外で複数回にわたり直接の交戦を行っている。
ドナルド・トランプ米大統領は11日、フォックスニュースのインタビューで、アメリカの軍事作戦「プロジェクト・フリーダム」について、対象地域を広げて再開することを検討しているが、最終的な決定はまだしていないと述べた
