Wang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), welcomed Vucic's state visit to China at the invitation of President Xi Jinping. Wang noted that under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, the building of a China-Serbia community with a shared future in the new era has got off to a good start. Friendship between China and Serbia has taken deep root among the people of the two countries, while cooperation across various fields has yielded fruitful results, benefiting the people of both sides, added Wang. He said China is ready to work with Serbia to implement the important consensus reached by the two leaders and promote further development of China-Serbia bilateral relations, adding that the CPPCC is willing to make active efforts in this regard. Noting that Serbia-China relations are at the highest level in history, Vucic said Serbia will always regard China as its most trustworthy good friend no matter how the international landscape changes. He expressed high appreciation for China's role as a stabilizing force in international affairs. Vucic said Serbia firmly adheres to the one-China principle and is willing to strengthen strategic alignment with China's 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030) to achieve faster and better development and work with China to safeguard international fairness and justice.
