The C909, formerly known as ARJ21, marked its first decade of commercial service on Saturday. The aircraft seats 78 to 97 passengers and has a range of 2,225 to 3,700 kilometers. It is designed for short and narrow runways and performs well in hot, high-altitude, and crosswind conditions. Delivered to Indonesian airline TransNusa in December 2022, the C909 made its maiden overseas flight from Jakarta to Bali on April 18, 2023, launching international operations. As of June 2026, TransNusa has received a total of five C909 aircraft.
