With the war now in its 1,000th day, he said the international community faces urgent questions: how to expand relief, secure a ceasefire, halt the fighting, and revive a political settlement. "First of all, we need to see greater humanitarian access. We need to see the withdrawal of Israel from Gaza. We need to see a unified Palestinian political presence that is the same in the occupied West Bank as it is in Gaza.
