To celebrate his birthday, his keepers crafted him a custom drum kit made of bamboo and solid wood as a special gift. They also prepared a two-tier "birthday cake" packed with bamboo shoots and seasonal fruit, sculpted into a floral shape. As the birthday song rang out, Jin Hu shuffled into view at his own pace, drawing cheers from a crowd of visitors. To enhance visitors' consciousness of wildlife protection, keepers also extended knowledge on giant panda biology and habitat conservation during the celebration.
