Revenue of the digital industry reached 20.71 trillion yuan (about 3.1 trillion U.S. dollars) in the first six months, an increase of 13.6 percent year on year. Profits surged 19.3 percent to 1.79 trillion yuan (about 270 billion U.S. dollars), 10.3 percentage points higher than the same period last year, driven by AI‑related demand and strong exports. The sector's profit margin was 8.6 percent. A total of 16 national‑level advanced manufacturing clusters have been developed in key digital sectors, including integrated circuits and artificial intelligence, the ministry said.
