Serbia continues to face the immense pressure of refugees one month after European leaders decided to strengthen border controls at a Vienna summit.
An influx of refugees are still arriving in the country, most of them illegal migrants.
An aid center in Belgrade was dismantled and turned into a parking lot following the closure of the so-called Balkan route used to reach Europe. The center was the most important refugee-transfer stop on the route.
More than 800 refugees are now living at three abandoned warehouses in the city, while many more are camped in parks and parking lots.
They said that the conditions they are forced to live in are dirty, with no bathroom facilities.
One refugee said that they are not being given official papers by the government as the refugee camps are all full.
Others have refused to go to official camps in fear of being sent back to their home countries.
Hundreds of refugees line up each day for the limited amount of food provided at a Belgrade park, and some often have to spend the nights amid hunger and cold.
