An informal welcome ceremony was held on Tuesday morning in Guangzhou City for the rescued Chinese sailors who were hijacked by the Somali pirates four years ago.
Nine sailors, eight from the mainland and one from Taiwan, returned to Guangzhou, capital of south China's Guangdong Province.
There is still one rescued Chinese sailor staying in Kenya for medical treatment.
Two Chinese sailors were killed in their captivity together with one from other places.
"I feel very excited. The moment we were released by the pirates, I felt that I was reborn," said one of the sailors surnamed Fan from southwest China's Sichuan Province.
Fan, along with his partners, will head for their homes to reunite with their family members.
Twenty-six crew members of the Naham 3, a fishing vessel hijacked by the Somali pirates in March 2012, were rescued on Saturday (Beijing time) and shipped to Kenya on Sunday.
Twenty-nine crew members of the Naham 3 were taken captive when their Omani-flagged vessel was seized south of the Seychelles, including ten from the Chinese mainland, two from Taiwan, and 17 from the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam and Cambodia.
