China will continue to firmly support the United Nations' (UN) work, said a spokesman of China's Foreign Ministry at a press conference in Beijing on Tuesday.
Lu said this year marks the 45 anniversary of the resumption of China's legal seat in the UN and that China has held various activities to celebrate the historic moment.
Lu said China has made its due contributions to the UN in the past 45 years.
"China has taken an active part in the UN's work in various fields, including security, development, society, human rights, law, arms control and disarmament, in the 45 years since the restoration of its legal seat.
