Giant panda Baobao who was born in the United States will move into her new home in southwest China's Sichuan Province on Friday after finishing a one-month quarantine.
Baobao's new home is located at the Dujiangyan base of China Conservation and Research Center for Giant Panda in the city of Dujiangyan. She will have a separate housing area and a playground, which she will share with her brother Taishan.
Baobao was born on Aug 23, 2013 in the Washington, D.C., capital of the United States. She was sent back to China last month and put into quarantine.
Thanks to the good care by keepers and veterinarians, Baobao is now in good health, gaining weight to 94 kilograms from 92 kilograms.
She has already adapted to her new diet in Sichuan. She eats four kilograms of bamboo, 200 grams of apples, 400 grams of carrots and 800 grams of steamed corn bread every day.
