Storyline

A pair of giant panda twins born in Shanghai has been named after some five million people submitted over 5,000 proposals in a campaign to name the twins.

The older brother has taken on the name of Yue Yue while his little sister has been named Ban Ban.

After receiving the names, the twins made their debut at the Shanghai Wildlife Park on Saturday, attracting visitors to say hello to their adorable furry friends.

"I feel so lucky that I get to see them on their debut. So lucky to see these two national treasures. The two are so cute and their naive behaviors are also adorable," said a visitor.

"Yue Yue and Ban Ban are good names. I think Yue Yue means a bright future -- it will keep getting bigger. Ban Ban also bears significance. Anyway, they are good names," said another visitor.

On their first day meeting fans, Yue Yue kept climbing and roaming around on the playground. On the contrary, his sister Ban Ban seems to be more quiet and likes to stay alone and take naps.
