China's logistics demand has seen continuous increase in the first four months of 2017, according to data released by China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing on Wednesday.
In the January-April period, China saw the total value of social logistics goods reach 76 trillion yuan (about 11 trillion U.S. dollars), up seven percent year on year. The increase rate is 1.1 percentage points higher than the same period last year.
Logistics demand for energy and industrial raw materials like coal, steel and cement has continued its increase in the past months. Logistics value related to people's livelihood grew by 29.7 percent.
"Logistics still maintain a stable growth rate on the whole. The demand for logistics witnessed an obvious increase year on year. On the other hand, the demand structure for logistics is also improving," said He Hui, deputy director of China Logistics Information Center.
The gross revenue of logistics industry in the first four months of 2017 reached 2.7 trillion yuan (about 392 billion U.S. dollars), up 12.6 percent from the same period of last year.
