A crane rollover accident killed seven and injured three Tuesday in Puning City of south China's Guangdong Province.

At around 18:00, the crane stationed at a construction site suddenly rolled over, thereby hitting a passing minivan and crushing it into two halves. People rushed to the site immediately and offered help, while police, firefighters and doctors arrived little later.

The minivan was carrying ten people in total, seven adults and three teens. Seven were confirmed dead on the spot; the injured ones were taken to the hospital thereafter.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
