A total of 120 canoeing players from 15 provinces and cities got the chance to show their canoeing skills at the first Chinese Canoeing Open which kicked off in Linyi City, east China's Shandong Province on Saturday.
The highlight for the competition is that in addition to professional athletes groups, it has also set up groups for retired players and highly-skilled amateurs, narrowing the distance between canoeing professionals and amateurs.
The competition will conclude on Sunday.
