A sea of clouds descended amid rain around the Lishan Mountain over 2,300 meters in altitude, turning it into a fairyland in Yuncheng City of north China's Shanxi Province recently.

The clouds spread like sea waves rolling and foaming amid the valleys.

On the mountain top, people saw layers upon layers of mountain peaks sometimes visible and sometimes hidden amid the cloud sea.

"The scenery is very beautiful. It looks cloudy from down the mountain, and I never expected that it is so bright here on the top of the mountain," said a tourist.
