"I went into space for the first time upon the Shenzhou-7 manned space mission in 2008. I took a spacewalk together with two of my comrade-in-arms, Zhai Zhigang and Liu Boming, completing the first spacewalk as Chinese. As a delegate to the 19th CPC National Congress, I came here to attend the great meeting to witness a great moment. We believe the 19th CPC National Congress will take a big step toward the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. At present, I'm working with my comrade-in-arms to prepare for the mission of space station, which is a glorious mission entrusted by the motherland and the people."

"China's technology in deep-sea probe has developed from running after, running abreast to taking the lead in several fields. For example, the manned submersible Jiaolong is able to reach a depth of 7,000 meters, which is at the world-leading level. The world-class explorer ship Jiaolong will dive in the future when its exploration effect and probe time will be largely improved with great breakthrough in serialized operation and work. In the future, our technical capacity to support scientific expedition at sea and serve marine sciences are bound to be hugely improved."

As sportsmen, we must prepare for competitions by carrying out reforms and make all-out effort for the PyeongChang Winter Olympics and Beijing 2020 Winter Olympics."

Delegates to the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) received face-to-face interviews with reporters on the "delegate passage" in Beijing on Wednesday.
More than 2,300 delegates and specially invited delegates are attending the twice-in-a-decade CPC national congress which opened on Wednesday.
Stretching 100 meters, the "delegate passage" near the northern gate of the Great Hall of the People is where the delegates must pass before entering the meeting hall.
China's first spacewalker Jing Haipeng, chief crew member of China's manned submersible Tang Jialing and head coach of Chinese figure skating team Zhao Hongbo were among the first delegates taking questions from the media before the opening of the congress.
"I went into space for the first time upon the Shenzhou-7 manned space mission in 2008. I took a spacewalk together with two of my comrade-in-arms, Zhai Zhigang and Liu Boming, completing the first spacewalk as Chinese. As a delegate to the 19th CPC National Congress, I came here to attend the great meeting to witness a great moment. We believe the 19th CPC National Congress will take a big step toward the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation," said Jing.
"At present, I'm working with my comrade-in-arms to prepare for the mission of space station, which is a glorious mission entrusted by the motherland and the people," he added.
China is leading the world in certain areas of deep-sea probe technologies, said Tang, the submersible operator.
"China's technology in deep-sea probe has developed from running after, running abreast to taking the lead in several fields. For example, the manned submersible Jiaolong is able to reach a depth of 7,000 meters, which is at the world-leading level. To follow up, Zhao, a former Olympic gold medalist pair skater, turned to the topic of sports. He said China's sport industry has developed rapidly since the 18th CPC National Congress in 2012.
"Since the 18th CPC National Congress, many common people can find well-equipped venues around their home to experience the happiness brought by ice and snow. Competitive sports, mass sports and sport industry have all gained rapid growth. As sportsmen, we must prepare for competitions by carrying out reforms and make all-out effort for the PyeongChang Winter Olympics and Beijing 2020 Winter Olympics," said Zhao.
