Chinese ambassador to the United Kingdom Liu Xiaoming made a speech at the UK Parliament Tuesday, briefing the officials about the significance of the 19th CPC (Communist Party of China) National Congress to both China and the world.
Liu shared his understanding with over 70 Members of Parliament, government officials, academics and business people about the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress. He talked about the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics, which is the core message of the Congress, as well about how China's foreign policy will unfold and China's development prospects in the new era.
The speech was welcomed by the participants who said it was a good opportunity for them to better understand the spirit of the CPC National Congress, especially the new ideas, new blueprint and new measures for China's further development as well as the historical opportunities brought by China's future development for UK-China relations.
