The prices of new housing was generally stable in November, with that in 11 hot spot cities lower than the level in the same period of last year, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on Monday.
The prices of new housing dropped in November from the same period of last year in 11 of the 15 hot spot first- and second-tier cities. Only Xiamen, Jinan, Wuhan and Guangzhou reported rises.
The prices of new and second-hand housing in the first-tier cities went down by 0.1 percent and 0.2 percent, respectively, compared with October, according to the NBS data from 70 large and medium-sized cities covered by the national statistics.
It was the 14th consecutive month-on-month fall for the year-on-year increase rate of new residential housing and second-hand home prices in first tier cities, with that in November falling by 0.3 and 0.2 percentages points from the previous month.
The prices of new housing in November in the second- and third-tier cities rose slightly by 0.5 percent and 0.4 percent, respectively, from the previous month, NBS data showed.
The increase rate of new and second-hand housing prices in the third-tier cities in November dropped by 0.3 percentage points and 0.2 percentage points, respectively, compared with October.
