As the Chinese Spring Festival to be celebrated on Friday, animals also feel the festive atmosphere and enjoy the special celebrations held for the upcoming festival.

Giant pandas in Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in southwest China's Sichuan Province made special appearance to the visitors on a snow-coated playground.

After taking some time to get used to the new winter playground, giant Panda Ni Ni and her two children were excited by the snow. Ni Ni totally forgot to behave like a lady, performing somersaults, eating snow and rolling about in the snow.

Ni Ni and her children's joy also greatly amused the visitors.

A pigeon pair polar bear cubs in the Ocean Aquarium of Quancheng in east China's Shandong Province celebrated the festival by eating dumplings which is a must-have food during the festival in most parts of China.

The twins were really into the special dumplings and ate them all.

Different from the zoo residents, police dogs spend the festival at work.

In Xining Railway Station in northwest China's Qinghai Province, several police dogs were seen sniffing luggage and trash bins around the stations to ensure passengers have a safe trip.

In the Royal Ocean Park in northeast China's Liaoning Province, graceful marine performers displayed fantastic aquarium shows with massive white whales.

The performers moved in unison with the white whales to the tunes of melodious music, and later greeted visitors by holding banners carrying auspicious Chinese characters.

Visitors were amazed by the performance and rewarded it with cheer and applause.
