The Syrian government forces discovered a tunnel in Kafr Batna, a town in Rif Dimashq Governorate in southern Syria, dug by the anti-government forces on Tuesday.

The local media said the government forces have seized several villages in the region.

A soldier said they found the tunnel during their patrol in Kafr Batna.

"We found the tunnel when patrolling in Kafr Batna. It is some 800 meters long. The anti-government forces move to another village through it. It appears the tunnel is a complete route of supply with air and power supply," said a soldier of Syrian Arab Army (SAA).

The anti-government forces withdrew from Kafr Batna on Tuesday after reaching an agreement with the government forces and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent arrived at the town to hand out humanitarian aid to the locals.

"The Red Crescent came in after the government forces and offered assistance to all the residents after a long period of supply shortage," said a resident.


"We had no relief before and our children starved. I, as an adult, have become tired of eating just Khubz (round Arabic bread) and other stale food. The children were in awful conditions as they could only live on grass," said another resident.

Les forces gouvernementales syriennes ont découvert mardi un tunnel à Kafr Batna, une ville du gouvernorat de Rif Dimachq dans le sud de la Syrie, creusé par les forces anti-gouvernementales.

Les médias locaux ont déclaré que les forces gouvernementales contrôlent désormais plusieurs villages de la région.

Un soldat a indiqué avoir trouvé le tunnel lors de leur patrouille à Kafr Batna.

"Nous avons trouvé le tunnel lors d'une patrouille à Kafr Batna. Il fait 800 mètres de long. Les forces anti-gouvernementales se déplacent dans un autre village et il semble que le tunnel soit une voie d'approvisionnement en air et en électricité", a précisé un soldat de l'armée de l'air syrienne.

Les forces anti-gouvernementales se sont retirées de Kafr Batna mardi après avoir conclu un accord avec les forces gouvernementales et le Croissant-Rouge arabe syrien (SARC) est arrivé dans la ville pour distribuer de l'aide humanitaire aux habitants.

"Le Croissant-Rouge est intervenu après les forces gouvernementales et a offert son aide à tous les résidents après une longue période de pénurie", s'est souvenu un habitant.

اكتشفت قوات الحكومة السورية يوم الثلاثاء/20 مارس الجاري نفقا حفرته القوات المناهضة للحكومة في كفر بطنا، بلدة في محافظة ريف دمشق في جنوب سوريا.

وذكرت وسائل الإعلام المحلية ان القوات الحكومية استولت على عدة قرى في المنطقة.

وقال جندي انهم وجدوا النفق خلال قيامهم بالدوريات في بلدة كفر بطنا.

وذكر جندي من الجيش العربي السوري:"من خلال تمشيط منطقة كفر بطنا تم العثور في أحد المولات على نفق يبلغ طوله حوالي 800متر، كان يستخدمه المسلحون باتجاه جسرين، ينقلون طرق الإمداد لهم، وهو مكيف حيث تم تمديد الكهرباء والتهوية."

وانسحبت القوات المناهضة للحكومة من بلدة كفر بطنا يوم الإثنين بعد توصلها الى اتفاق مع القوات الحكومية، ووصل الهلال الأحمر العربي السوري‎ الى البلدة يوم الثلاثاء لتوزيع المساعدات الإنسانية الى السكان المحليين.

وقال ساكن: "بعدما دخل الجيش العربي السوري،دخل إخواننا الذين ساعدونا من الهلال الأحمر وقدموا المساعدات للمدنيين بعدما كنا نعيش في ظروف صعبة."

وذكر ساكن آخر: "المساعدات لم تكن موجودة، وكان أطفالنا يعانون من الجوع الشديد. بالنسبة لي في هذا العمر ملنا من أكل خبر الشعيروالعلف وتلك الأشياء، الأمر كان صعبا بالنسبة للأطفال، وفي النهاية كنا نعيش على الخضروات."

Сирийская правительственная армия 20 марта обнаружила в Кафр-Батне в районе Восточная Гута под Дамаском подземный туннель антиправительственных группировок, который использовался для перемещения боевиков и оружия.

Вместе с этим, по сообщению местных СМИ, правительственные войска Сирии смогли вернуть контроль над несколькими населенными пунктами в данном районе.

"Во время патрулирования в Кафр-Батне мы обнаружили туннель длиной около 800 метров, через который антиправительственные войска перешли в другую деревню. Похоже, что это маршрут, обеспечивающий подачей воздуха и электроэнергии", – сообщил один из сирийских солдат.

Стоит отметить, что 19 марта повстанческие формирования покинули Кафр-Батну после переговоров с правительственной армией. Спустя один день в населенный пункт пришла гуманитарная помощь.

"Правительственные войска вошли в город, за ними последовал Красный Полумесяц для оказания помощи жителям, ставшими заложниками продовольственного дефицита на продолжительное время", – сказал один из местных жителей.

"До этого у нас не было никакой помощи, наши дети голодали. Мне как взрослому уже надоело есть только одни ячменные лепешки и корм. Дети также были в ужасном состоянии, так как они могли есть только овощи",– заявил другой житель.

Las tropas del Gobierno sirio hallaron el pasado martes varios túneles cavados por las fuerzas antigubernamentales en el poblado de Kafr Batna, parte de la gobernación de la Campiña de Damasco, capital de Siria al suroeste.

Según la prensa local, las tropas del gobierno se han apoderado de varias aldeas en la región.

"Encontramos un túnel cuando patrullábamos en Kafr Batna. Tiene unos 800 metros de largo. Las fuerzas antigubernamentales se trasladaron a otro poblado a través de este túnel. Parece que es una ruta completa de abastecimiento con suministro de aire y de energía", dijo un soldado del Ejército Árabe Sirio.

Las fuerzas antigubernamentales se retiraron de Kafr Batna el lunes después de llegar a un acuerdo con las tropas gubernamentales. Al día siguiente, la Media Luna Roja Árabe Siria entró en el poblado para entregar ayuda humanitaria a los lugareños.

"La Media Luna Roja llegó después de las tropas del gobierno y nos ofreció asistencia a todos los residentes locales, tras un largo período de escasez de suministros", afirmó un lugareño.

"No recibimos ninguna ayuda antes y nuestros niños murieron de hambre. Yo, como adulto, me he cansado de comer solo pan de cebada e incluso forraje. Los niños estaban en condiciones horribles ya que solo podían vivir de vegetales", agregó otro.
