3. SOUNDBITE (Chinese) Hua Chunying, spokeswoman, Chinese Foreign Ministry:
"We have repeatedly expressed China's clear, definite and firm stand on China-U.S. trade friction caused by the U.S. Section 301 investigation. We hold that the moves of the Unite States are typical unilateralism and are virtual actions of economic hegemony. China and the United States are both big world powers whose economies are highly integrated. We should treat each other on the basis of mutual respect, equality and win-win cooperation."

China will resolutely fight back if the United States continues unilateral actions, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said in Beijing on Tuesday.
The U.S. administration recently proposed tariffs on dozens of billions of dollars of Chinese goods based on the so-called Section 301 investigation to probe alleged Chinese intellectual property and technology transfer practices.
It also announced on Monday the activation of denial of export privileges against leading Chinese telecom equipment maker ZTE Corp, the latest move to heighten tensions.

She said that as big powers in the world, China and the United States should treat each other on the basis of mutual respect, equality and win-win cooperation.
Hua said the United States should stop actions that violate multilateralism under the regime of the World Trade Organization.
