Storyline


Six youth teams competed for men's 100-meter dragon boat racing in Changsha City of central China's Hunan Province Sunday, the second leg of the ongoing 2018 Chinese Dragon Boat Tournament.

The Heyuan Dragon Boat Association from south China's Guangdong Province claimed the title with a finishing time of 23.97 seconds, followed by the Northeast Electric Power University team from Jilin Province at 24.23 seconds.

The Changsha-Furong leg kicked off Saturday with 56 dragon boat teams participating in the preliminary contests and a total of 36 teams were qualified for Sunday's finals.

About 300 volunteers were selected from Hunan Sports Vocational College and trained to guarantee the success of the racing.

Launched in 2011, the Chinese Dragon Boat Tournament is the country's highest-level dragon boat race with its prizes topping all other domestic dragon boat races.
