"Since taking over the rotating presidency of the SCO, China has been carrying forward tradition while attaching importance to innovation when performing relevant jobs, which have covered all related aspects including politics, security, economy and trade as well as people and culture, and achieved very positive results. Before the SCO Qingdao summit, China will hold meetings of supreme court chief justices, secretaries of Security Councils and ministers in charge of tourism from the SCO member states, and political party forum, media summit, cultural and art festival and women's forum, as well as other important SCO activities, and we hope for active participations of all relevant parties."

The Council of Foreign Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) convened in Beijing on Tuesday to prepare for the SCO summit to be held in June in east China's coastal city of Qingdao.
Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi presided over the meeting, at which foreign ministers of the SCO member states exchanged views on cooperation in various fields as well as major international and regional issues.
They also signed a series of outcome documents and issued a press communique based on the consensus reached at the meeting.
