China will ease market access to automobile industry as soon as possible, as it is a win-win choice, said a spokesman for the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) on Wednesday in Beijing.
Chen Yin, also chief engineer of the MIIT, said so when answering questions about cutting tariffs on foreign automobiles at a press conference.

China will remove the restrictions on the ratio of foreign investment in special purpose motor vehicles and new energy vehicles in 2018, in commercial vehicles in 2020, and in passenger vehicles in 2022.
