"At last press conference, Xiaoguang, another spokesman of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, made it clear that the drills and round-the-Taiwan-Island patrol of the PLA all send a very clear message and strong warning against 'Taiwan independence' attempt by secessionist forces. The moves demonstrate our ability to safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity, and our strong will, full confidence and adequate capability to safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity and contain separatist activities of 'Taiwan independence' in any form. 'Taiwan independence' is doomed to failure."
