Storyline


The United States will send a high-level delegation to China for consultation on trade issues between the two countries, a spokesman with China's Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.

Lu Kang, the spokesman made the remark when asked about Chinese telecom equipment maker ZTE.

"China and the United States have made important consensus. The two sides will work out the details on how to implement the consensus through consultation. The United States will send a high-level delegation from relevant fields to China for consultation," said Lu.

China and the United States issued a joint statement on Saturday on economic and trade consultations, vowing not to go into a trade war against each other.
