Mexican football fans poured into the streets in Mexico City as their national team defeated South Korea 2-1 in Group F at Rostov Arena on Saturday.

The victory indicates Mexico moved closer to qualify from the group at this FIFA World Cup.

Around the Angel of Independence monument on Mexico City's Paseo de la Reforma, it's the sea of fans. They worn the Mexican traditional broad brimmed hats, danced and sang with Mexican national flags waving in their hands.

"Both teams did a good job. Bless South Korea. But the victory of Mexico is well-deserved," said a Mexican football fan.

Leading the group with six points, a place in the last 16 is within reach for Mexico, who will battle with Sweden on June 27.
