Chinese Vice Premier Liu He on Monday met with European Commission Vice President Jyrki Katainen in Beijing, vowing to work with the European Union (EU) to firmly safeguard free trade rules and multilateral trading.

Liu said that given the severe damage caused by unilateralism and trade bullying, China stands ready to work with the EU to firmly safeguard free trade rules and the multilateral trade system, and improve the World Trade Organization to keep pace with the times.

Liu, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, called on both sides to implement consensus reached during the China-EU leaders' meeting and China-EU High-level Economic and Trade Dialogue, to benefit the people and enterprises from both sides.

Katainen told Liu that the EU and China shared similar concerns about trade issues, pledging to strengthen communication and coordination with China to advance reform of the WTO and safeguard multilateral trading.

Le vice-Premier ministre chinois Liu He a rencontré, lundi à Beijing, le vice-président de la Commission européenne Jyrki Katainen, s'engageant à travailler de concert avec l'Union européenne (UE) pour sauvegarder les règles du libre-échange et le commerce multilatéral.

Étant donné les dégâts causés par l'unilatéralisme et l'intimidation commerciale, la Chine est prête à travailler avec l'UE pour sauvegarder fermement les règles du libre-échange et le commerce multilatéral, tout en améliorant l'Organisation mondiale du commerce (OMC) pour qu'elle avance avec l'époque, a-t-il noté.

M. Liu, également membre du Bureau politique du Comité central du Parti communiste chinois, a appelé les deux parties à appliquer les consensus atteints lors de la réunion des dirigeants Chine-UE et du dialogue économique et commercial de haut niveau Chine-UE, afin de bénéficier aux peuples et aux entreprises des deux côtés.

Pour sa part, M. Katainen a indiqué pour sa part que l'UE et la Chine partageaient des préoccupations similaires concernant les questions commerciales, s'engageant à renforcer la communication et la coordination avec la Chine pour faire progresser la réforme de l'OMC et sauvegarder le commerce multilatéral.

التقى نائب رئيس مجلس الدولة الصيني ليو خه يوم الإثنين/ 16 يوليو الجاري بنائب رئيس المفوضية الأوروبية يوركي كاتاينين في بكين وتعهد بالعمل مع الاتحاد الأوروبي من أجل توفير حماية قوية لقواعد التجارة الحرة ونظام التجارة متعدد الأطراف.

وقال ليو، "نظرا للأضرار الجسيمة الناجمة عن الأحادية والتهديد التجاري، تقف الصين على استعداد للعمل مع الاتحاد الأوروبي لحماية قواعد التجارة الحرة ونظام التجارة متعدد الأطراف بصلابة وتطوير منظمة التجارة العالمية لمواكبة العصر."

ودعا ليو، وهو أيضا عضو المكتب السياسي للجنة المركزية للحزب الشيوعي الصيني، الجانبين لتنفيذ التوافق الذي تم التوصل إليه خلال الاجتماع بين زعماء الصين والاتحاد الأوروبي والحوار الاقتصادي والتجاري رفيع المستوى بين الصين والاتحاد الأوروبي من أجل تحقيق مصلحة الشعب والشركات في الجانبين.

El viceprimer ministro chino, Liu He, prometió colaborar con la Unión Europea (UE) para defender con firmeza las reglas de libre comercio y el sistema de comercio multilateral, al reunirse el lunes pasado en Beijing con el vicepresidente de la Comisión Europea, Jyrki Katainen.

El unilateralismo y el acoso comercial están perjudicando gravemente al mundo, y China está dispuesta a colaborar con la UE para salvaguardar las reglas del libre comercio y el sistema de comercio multilateral, así como mejorar la Organización Mundial del Comercio (OMC), indicó el líder chino.

Liu, también miembro del Buró Político del Comité Central del Partido Comunista de China (PCCh), llamó a ambas partes a implementar los consensos alcanzados durante la reunión de líderes de China-UE y el Diálogo Económico y Comercial de Alto Nivel China-UE, con el objeto de beneficiar a los pueblos y las empresas de ambas partes.

Katainen dijo a Liu que la UE y China tienen preocupaciones similares en el aspecto comercial, y prometió fortalecer la comunicación y la coordinación con China para avanzar en la reforma de la OMC y salvaguardar el sistema de comercio multilateral.
