China's tax revenue reached 10.77 trillion yuan (about 1.56 trillion U.S. dollars) from January to July this year, up 14 percent year on year, according to the data released by the Ministry of Finance on Monday.

The revenue from domestic value-added tax, which is directly related to the operation of enterprises, totaled 3.89 trillion yuan, an year-on-year increase of 14.9 percent, while the corporate income tax rose 13.4 percent year on year to 2.92 trillion yuan in the January-July period.

Meanwhile, the revenue from personal income tax also registered a high growth. From January to July, personal income tax revenue increased 20.6 percent year on year to 922.5 billion yuan.
