The latest smart products on display at the ongoing 2018 World Artificial Intelligence Conference, such as automatic document handling and lip-reading, have changed the way of living and made life more convenient.

People are usually put in an impasse when they have to queue up waiting for the processing of documents by civil servants. But at the conference site, a unmanned work handling station makes the document handling so convenient that it is like an ATM, scanning the requirement document and when it goes through, a form would be delivered to one's hand by a robot.

A lip-reading device can interpret the movements of lips and translate them into scripts.

"We use the lip language to make it easy in man-machine interaction or may use it as an aid for communicating with people with hearing impairment," said exhibitor of the lip-reading equipment.

A device for beautifying pictures at the exhibition cannot only produce beautiful 3D pictures and the product can be used as a reference in plastic surgery with its specially-designed algorithm.

The 2018 World Artificial Intelligence Conference, schedule to run from Sept 17-19, has attracted experts, scholars and entrepreneurs from nearly 40 countries and regions. More than 200 companies that lead in AI technologies participated in the conference and the exhibition.
