In the first three quarters, the tax revenue from Internet service, software and information technology service respectively increased by 33.3 percent and 20.8 percent, reflecting the rapid development of 'Internet plus', information industry and innovation industry. Secondly, the tax revenue from the consumption-related sector increased rapidly. In the first three quarters, personal spending on education, health, culture, leisure and other aspects increased rapidly. Thirdly, export tax reimbursements were intensified. The State Administration of Taxation held a press conference on Friday to highlight the latest progress in tax revenue collection, the implementation of the value-added tax and the reform of the personal income tax.

"Since the beginning of this year, China's economy has maintained steady development, and the effects of various macro-control policies have continued to emerge. In the first three quarters, the national tax authorities collected 11.2336 trillion yuan in tax revenue (excluding export tax reimbursement), up 13.2 percent year on year," said Zheng Xiaoying, deputy director-general of the Department of Revenue Planning and Checking of the State Administration of Taxation.

The tax revenue from modern services saw rapid growth. In the first three quarters, the tax revenue from Internet service, software and information technology service respectively increased by 33.3 percent and 20.8 percent, reflecting the rapid development of "Internet plus", information industry and innovation industry, according to Zheng.

The growth rate of the tax revenue from consumption-related sectors was relatively high. In the first three quarters, personal spending on education, health, culture, leisure and other aspects increased rapidly.
