The construction of the China Pavilion, the largest national pavilion, of the upcoming China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai, has gone full steam.
According to organizers, more than 60 booths are under construction and the whole project is expected to be completed by the end of October.
The China Pavilion, located at the northeast corner of the Country Pavilion , is designed with the meaning of openness, inclusiveness and sharing future.
Organizers said the architecture will create a refreshing experience for visitors by combining traditional Chinese architectural designs and modern sound and light system.
There will be eight exhibition areas, with the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan theme exhibition to be included.
With regard to the exhibits, Wang Yuchen, head of general office of Foreign Trade Development Bureau under the Ministry of Commerce, said: "Following the new concept of development, we will showcase great achievements in China's social and economic development and the global significance of China's development in 40 years of reform and opening up, especially since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China."
