A new wildfire was burning near interstate highway 118, south of the Simi Valley in Ventura County of California on Monday morning, according to the fire department of Ventura County.

The wildfire was raging with thick smoke in the mountains of the Ventura County, which is close to the Simi Valley. The firefighting helicopters stopped working because of strong wind, and the firefighters are working to put out the fire.

The new wildfire has covered 75 hectares, but the fire trucks find it difficult to reach the flames in the deep valley. Police have evacuated residents from the Lake Manor and Canyon areas.
