"The danger is our footing right now, having our escaped routes and safety zones identified using lookouts that are available, so they can see if we have any issues come up with spot fires. Once we start turning the corner down here,we going to have a black and green, that's what we're going to have on the edge. And so we don't want any spot fires to get into the green, cause we have more structures up this strain that we trying to protect and also that we've gone into lot of effort to prep so that we can get this done."

Storyline

The camp fires in northern California have caused nearly 1,300 people missing and at least 76 dead though it was 60 percent contained, officials said Sunday.

While the search for the dead and missing continues, thousands of firefighters are trying to control the blazes.

At least 76 bodies have been found as firefighters search for the hundreds left missing in the state's devastating wildfires. Responders have been battling the blazes for weeks. But the camp fires in the state's north have proved difficult to contain.

Larry Turman, a fire fighter, introduced their plan of fire controlling.

"The danger is our footing right now, having our escaped routes and safety zones identified using lookouts that are available, so they can see if we have any issues come up with spot fires. Once we start turning the corner down here,we going to have a black and green, that's what we're going to have on the edge. And so we don't want any spot fires to get into the green, cause we have more structures up this strain that we trying to protect and also that we've gone into lot of effort to prep so that we can get this done," said Turman.

Crews are combing the remnants of houses where all evidence of life has been wiped out by flames.
