China is working to negotiate with the United States on trade issues following the two sides agreed schedule and road map in the next 90 days, said Gao Feng, spokesman of the Ministry of Commerce, at a press briefing in Beijing on Thursday.
"In the next 90 days, China and the United States will conduct consultations on major issues of both sides' concerns toward the ultimate goal of abolishing all tariff increases and in the principle of mutual respect, equality, mutual benefit and accommodating each other's concerns and try to reach consensus," Gao said.
He said China and the United States reached preliminary consensus on trade issues in sectors of agricultural products and energy.
