China's consumer price index (CPI) in November rose 2.2 percent year on year, as against 2.5 percent in October, according to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics Sunday.

Food prices increased by 2.5 percent while non-food prices rose by 2.1 percent, according to the data.

China’s CPI from January to November went up by 2.1 percent on average as compared with the same period of last year.

The producer price index (PPI) in the same month rose 2.7 percent year on year, 0.6 percentage points less than in October.
