"The far side of the Moon is so meaningful. It has so many resources. And also, we can have a better understanding of the formation and evolution of the Moon in the future. So in the future I believe that China's lunar exploration project has three steps -- orbiting, landing, and also sample return. The Chang'e-5 mission will have sample returns from the near side of the Moon. We believe that it will be necessary and very meaningful to have samples back from the far side of the Moon. So you can see that this time the Chang'e-4 mission have a very good start. We have mastered the technology to land on the far side of the Moon, and the landing technology itself and also the data-reading technology. New images of the far side of the Moon captured by the landing camera on China's Chang'e-4 lunar probe have been released on Thursday, as the probe made a successful touchdown on the lunar surface.

The images are highly significant as they provide documented footage of the Moon's so-called "dark side". With the Moon tidally locked to the Earth and rotating at the same rate that it orbits our planet, the far side or the "dark side" is never visible from Earth.

These new images offer some new insight into the previously mysterious far side of the Moon, with the Chang'e-4 probe set to conduct a series of experiments to further explore the unknown lunar regions.

Yang Yuguang, a professor at the China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation, said the successful touchdown is a major milestone for China's future lunar exploration projects.

"The far side of the Moon is so meaningful. It has so many resources. And also, we can have a better understanding of the formation and evolution of the Moon in the future. So in the future I believe that China's lunar exploration project has three steps -- orbiting, landing, and also sample return. The Chang'e-5 mission will have sample returns from the near side of the Moon. We believe that it will be necessary and very meaningful to have samples back from the far side of the Moon," said Yang in an in interview with the China Global Television Network (CGTN).

"This time the Chang'e-4 mission have a very good start. We have mastered the technology to land on the far side of the Moon, and the landing technology itself and also the data-reading technology. So it will be a very good preparation for the future potential sample return missions from the far side of the Moon and especially important and meaningful from the South Pole regions," the professor added.

De nouvelles images de la face cachée de la Lune capturées par la caméra de la sonde lunaire Chang'e-4 ont été publiées jeudi.

Yang Yuguang, professeur à China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation, a déclaré que l’atterrissage réussi avait posé les jalons des futurs projets d'exploration lunaire de la Chine.

"La face cachée de la Lune est très importante. Elle dispose d'énormément de ressources. De plus, nous pourrons avoir une meilleure compréhension de la formation et de l'évolution de la Lune à l'avenir. Selon moi, plus tard, le projet d'exploration lunaire de la Chine comportera trois étapes : mise en orbite, atterrissage et récupération d’échantillon. Chang'e-5 aura pour mission de récupérer des échantillons du côté proche de la Lune. Nous pensons qu'il sera nécessaire et très important de récupérer des échantillons de l'autre côté de la Lune", a fait savoir M. Yang.

تم القاط صور جديدة للجانب البعيد من القمر بواسطة كاميرا المسبار القمري تشانغ آه - 4 الذي هبط على نفس الجانب من القمر يوم الخميس/3 يناير الجاري.

ونظرا لأن دورة القمر حول الشمس هي نفسها فترة دورانه، فإن الجانب نفسه يواجه الأرض دائما، بينما يسمى الوجه الآخر الذي لا يمكن رؤيته من الأرض بالجانب البعيد أو الجانب المظلم، وذلك ليس لأنه مظلم، بل لأن معظمه لا يزال مجهولا.

ولم يعد الجانب البعيد من القمر غامضا بفضل هذه الصور.

وذكر يانغ يوى قوانغ، الخبير في شركة الصين للعلوم الفضائية والصناعة، خلال مقالة مع شبكة تلفزيون الصين الدولية (CGTN) ان نجاح الهبوط هو معلم مهم بالنسبة للبرنامج الصيني لاستكشاف القمر في المستقبل.

وقال يانغ، "يتمتع الجانب البعيد من القمر بأهمية كبيرة جدا. وهناك الكثير من الموارد. ويمكننا أيضا أن نفهم بشكل أفضل تكوين القمر وتطوره في المستقبل. لذا ففي المستقبل، أعتقد أن البرنامج الصيني لاستكشاف القمر له ثلاث خطوات - الدوران والهبوط والعودة مع العينة. ستكمل بعثة تشانغ أه-5 جمع العينة والعودة من الجانب القريب من القمر. ونعتقد أنه سيكون من الضروري والمفيد للغاية تحقيق العودة من الجانب البعيد من القمر."

Fueron publicadas hoy jueves nuevas imágenes de la cara oculta de la Luna capturadas por una cámara de alunizaje que lleva la sonda Chang'e-4 de China, poco después de que la sonda hiciera un alunizaje suave y exitoso.

Las imágenes del llamado "lado oscuro" de la Luna son muy valiosas. Como la Luna está girando a la misma velocidad que orbita de nuestro planeta, el lado opuesto o el "lado oscuro" nunca es visible desde la Tierra.

Estas imágenes brindan una nueva visión acerca del lado lejano y misterioso del satélite.

Según plan, la sonda Chang'e-4 realizará una serie de experimentos para explorar a fondo las regiones lunares desconocidas.

Yang Yuguang, experto de la Corporación de Ciencia e Industria Espaciales de China, afirmó que el alunizaje exitoso es un hito del proyecto de exploración lunar chino.

"El lado lejano de la Luna significa mucho. Tiene muchos recursos. Y también, podemos comprender mejor la formación y evolución de la Luna.
