"With digital images, virtual reality, artificial intelligence and some interactive equipment and devices, the connotation of traditional culture can be shown multi-dimensionally and multi-angle exchanges among Asian cultures, including the co-existence and integration of Asian civilizations and modern technologies, can be promoted."

Asian Digital Art Exhibition kicked off on Thursday in Beijing, China, presenting an art and culture feast of the perfect combination of traditional Asian cultures and modern technologies.
The exhibition, part of the cultural activities of the Conference on Dialogue of Asian Civilizations, attracted 30 artists from 12 countries and regions to show their works.
The combination of art and digital technologies offers artists more ways of artistic expression and brings visitors fresh experience.
"As for what is an interesting world, I think different people have different views. We believe that digital technologies and digital art can not only present an artist's artistic pursuit, but also enable ordinary visitors to express their ideas creatively," said Fei Jun, curator of the exhibition.
Among the 47 works displayed on the exhibition, Chinese calligraphy, kung fu, Beijing Opera and other elements of traditional Chinese culture are interpreted in novel ways with digital technologies.
"With digital images, virtual reality, artificial intelligence and some interactive equipment and devices, the connotation of traditional culture can be shown multi-dimensionally and multi-angle exchanges among Asian cultures, including the co-existence and integration of Asian civilizations and modern technologies, can be promoted," said Huang Ying, organizer of the exhibition.
The exhibition will last until June 15.
