Heavy rain battered east and south China's Fujian Province and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on Monday, triggering mudslide and disrupting traffic.
Fujian continued its emergency response plan against the heavy rain on Monday.
On Saturday, armed police and officials evacuated nearly 40 villagers in Pucheng County, Nanping City to safe places before a mudslide that occurred at about 16:00 and destroyed 22 houses.
In Shunchang County, local authorities on Sunday evacuated residents to safe places due to the rising water level caused by the heavy rain.
As of Monday, the county evacuated more than 3,600 residents and restored power supply for 90 percent of the nearly 130,000 residents who had suffered from power outage caused by heavy rain since July 5.
Water level of the Lijiang River in Guilin City, Guangxi, rose sharply to 146.74 meters due to the heavy rain.
Local maritime authorities suspended water transport on the river as of 07:00 Monday and enhanced patrol in key waters for inspection and rescue operation.
