3. SOUNDBITE (Chinese) Geng Shuang, spokesman, Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
"China has stated its firm position several times over the U.S. unjustifiably suppressing Chinese enterprises. Here I want to emphasize that the relevant U.S. senators and representatives stick to the zero-sum Cold War mentality, see China with tinted glasses and put forward various negative bills on China. Their evil intentions of curbing China's development and destroying China-U.S. relationship have been completely exposed. The U.S. use national power, apply sanctions against and crack down on China for no reason. These all have seriously damaged America's national image, seriously damaged the interests of the U.S. companies, and seriously disrupted the global industrial chain and the supply chain. They have met and will continue to meet widespread opposition and boycott from all over the world."

6. SOUNDBITE (Chinese) Geng Shuang, spokesman, Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
"Economic and trade cooperation between Chinese and the U.S. companies should be a win-win situation. President Trump told President Xi Jinping during their meeting in Osaka that he would allow American companies to continue supplying goods to Huawei. How and when the U.S. side fulfills its promises is something concerning its reputation and credibility. The international community is watching it. We hope that the U.S. will immediately stop unreasonable sanctions against Chinese enterprises, such as Huawei, and treat Chinese enterprises in a fair and non-discriminatory manner. We hope that America will contribute to the healthy and stable development of trade cooperation, rather than setting obstacles."
