"I must point out that there is no so-called religious persecution in China. Chinese citizens enjoy freedom of religious belief according to law. It was an act to interfere with China's internal affairs that the United States arranged members of the heretical Falun Gong and people who tarnish China's religious freedom to attend a so-called religious meeting and made them meet the U.S. leader. China expresses strong dissatisfaction with and resolute opposition to this. We urge the United States to correctly view China's religious policies and freedom and stop interfering with other countries' internal affairs using religion as an excuse."
