Hong Kong people have had enough of the current unrest in the region and are calling for restoration of social order as soon as possible, according to a commentary released by China Central Television (CCTV) on Saturday.

The commentary said that Hong Kong has had enough chaos and its people have had enough of the unrest.

Some of Hong Kong's residents held a rally themed "stand against violence, save Hong Kong" on Saturday afternoon in the Tamar Park in protest against the violence of some of the recent demonstrations in the region. They called for restoration of social order in the region as soon as possible.

The commentary said that more and more Hong Kong residents have begun to realize that some people wish Hong Kong's unrest could continue so that the region would be lifeless and its reputation in tatters.

It is unbearable for some to see a prosperous Hong Kong and a strong China, the commentary said. However, hundreds of thousands of Hong Kong people have stepped out bravely, which is the mainstream public opinion in Hong Kong society.

No matter how hard these rioters have tried to put up their show, they are only outwardly tough, but inwardly feeble with few supporters, the commentary said, adding that the fact stands for itself as some violent protest leaders are fleeing after seeing the situation turns unfavorable for them.

Extreme violence is unacceptable to any civilized society, and the rioters must pay for what they have done, said the commentary.
