China is willing to import more high-quality products from Jamaica in accordance with the market demands, and enhance exchanges and cooperation with Jamaica in the fields including tourism, education, sports and vocational training, said Li.
China is also ready to step up cooperation with Jamaica on the climate change issue to push for the implementation of the Paris Agreement, Li said.
In response, Holness said as the first Caribbean country that established diplomatic relations with China, Jamaica stands ready to actively engage in the Belt and Road cooperation, strengthen cooperation with China in the sectors including trade, investment, infrastructure, healthcare, education, vocational training and tourism, and intensify communication and coordination with China on international affairs such as climate change, so as to continue upgrade the bilateral relations to new heights.
After the talks, Li and Holness witnessed the signing of cooperation agreements between the two sides in various sectors including the Belt and Road construction, trade and human resources.
Before the talks, Li held a welcome ceremony for Holness at the square to the east of the Great Hall of the People.
