War-displaced Syrian refugees in Lebanon are suffering from a lack of life necessities to keep out coldness in this winter, as recent rising prices in Lebanon have made life even harder for them.
Abu Hawash, a Syrian refugee who has settled in a camp in Lebanon's Bekaa Valley, left his home country five years ago. He said the price rises have posed a challenge to their daily life.
"Now we are eating this (pancakes) and tea and vegetables like this. We cannot afford them and we begged these from other people. Our neighbors gave all these to us. The shops do not allow us to buy anything on credit," Abu Hawash told China Central Television (CCTV) at the camp.
Besides food, Abu Hawash is worried about life necessities like clothes and coal necessary for his family to go through the winter.
