The 34th year of London's New Year's Day Parade starts on the first day of 2020 with thousands of performers from around the world taking part in the pageantry.

As one of the world's greatest street spectaculars, more than 8,000 performers from over 20 countries and regions came to perform for the audience. Dancers, acrobats, cheerleaders, marching bands, historic vehicles and more gathered in the heart of London for a colorful celebration with contemporary performances and traditional pomp and ceremony, as huge balloons, music and confetti filled the air.

With cheerful music and performances, thousands of residents and overseas tourists gathered in the city center to watch the grand parade celebrating the start of the New Year.

Among all of the performers, this year’s parade of varsity spirit cheerleaders, Chinese dragon dance and the performances given by Britain's Got Talent semi-finalists were the highlights of the event.

"I like the colors, the culture, the dancing, the singing, everything. I was come to the parade because it's really fun and really nice. It's a lot of tourists, a lot of culture and everything goes,” said a resident who watched the parade.

Another resident said this was the first time he watched Chinese dragon dance, which he thought was very good.

"The most impressive is the parade by the boys of Croydon. They do different parade each year. This year the Chinese parade with the Chinese dragons was very good," he said.

"I watched the parade, it's fantastic. I like the band from Rome, the drumming band," said an elderly resident.

London's New Year's Day Parade started in 1987 and developed from a small parade with 2,000 performers to a colorful celebration of thousands of contemporary performances.

In addition to the parade, London also held the New Year fireworks display and other activities this year to celebrate the arrival of a new decade.

Miles de artistas de todo el mundo participaron ayer miércoles, día 1 de enero en la 34 edición del Desfile del Día de Año Nuevo de Londres, capital del Reino Unido.

Como uno de los más grandes espectáculos callejeros del mundo, más de 8,000 artistas de más de 20 países y regiones de todo el mundo desfilaron ante el público. Bailarines, acróbatas, animadoras, bandas de música y vehículos antiguos se reunieron en el corazón de Londres para participar en una colorida celebración con actuaciones contemporáneas y pompa y ceremonias tradicionales, mientras los enormes globos, la música y el confeti animaban el ambiente.

Con música alegre y actuaciones, miles de habitantes y turistas extranjeros se reunieron en el centro de la ciudad para ver el gran desfile que celebra el comienzo del año nuevo.

Entre todos los artistas de este año, destacaron las animadoras universitarias, la danza del dragón chino y las actuaciones de los semifinalistas británicos del show televisivo Got Talent.

"Me gustan los colores, la cultura, el baile, el canto, todo. He venido al desfile porque es muy divertido y muy bonito. Hay muchos turistas, mucha cultura, tiene de todo", comentó un residente que observaba el desfile.

Otro residente explicó que era la primera vez que veía la danza del dragón chino, la cual le pareció muy buena.

"Lo más impresionante del desfile son los chicos de Croydon. Su actuación es diferente cada año. El desfile chino de este año con la danza del dragón chino ha estado muy bien", añadió.

"He visto el desfile, es fantástico. Me gusta la banda de Roma, la banda de los tambores", dijo un residente.

El Desfile de Año Nuevo de Londres comenzó en 1987 y ha evolucionado desde un pequeño desfile con 2,000 artistas hasta una colorida celebración con miles de actuaciones contemporáneas.

Además del desfile, Londres también organizó una exhibición de fuegos artificiales y otras actividades para celebrar el nuevo año y la llegada de una nueva década.

Am ersten Tag des Neujahrs fand die Londoner Neujahrsparade zum 34. Mal in der britischen Hauptstadt statt. Tausende Darsteller aus aller Welt marschierten bei dem traditionsreichen Umzug mit.

Zu der Parade, die zu den berühmtesten Straßenspektakeln der Welt gehört, sind mehr als acht tausend Darsteller aus über zwanzig Ländern und Regionen gekommen. Tänzer, Akrobaten, Cheerleader, Spielmannszüge, historische Wagen und vieles andere mehr versammelten sich im Herzen von London zu einer farbenfrohen Feier mit modernen Aufführungen und traditionellem Pomp und Prunk. Es gab große Ballons und Konfetti. Und die Luft war geschwängert von Musik.

Tausende von Einwohnern und Besuchern aus dem Ausland sind in die Innenstadt von London gekommen. Sie schauten der Parade zu und zelebrierten das Neujahr.

Unter allen Darbietungen bildeten der diesjährige Marsch des Varsity Spirit Cheerleaders, der chinesische Drachentanz und die Aufführungen der Halbfinalisten bei Britain’s Got Talent die absoluten Höhepunkte des diesjährigen Events.

„Ich mag die Farben, ich mag die Kultur, das Tanzen, das Singen, ich mag einfach alles. Ich bin zu der Parade gekommen, weil es wirklich Spaß macht, weil es wirklich gut ist. Es gibt viele Touristen, viel Kulturelles, alles ist erlaubt“, sagte ein Einwohner.

Ein anderer erzählte, es sei das erste Mal gewesen, dass er den chinesischen Drachentanz gesehen habe. Und er fand ihn sehr gut.

„Was mich am meisten beindruckt hat, war der Marsch der Boys of Croydon. Sie machen jedes Jahr was anderes. Und der chinesische Marsch dieses Jahr mit den chinesischen Drachen war auch sehr gut“, sagte er.

„Ich habe der Parade zugeschaut. Es war fantastisch. Ich mag die Band aus Rom, eine Trommel-Band“, erzählte wieder ein anderer Einwohner.

Die Neujahrsparade von London begann im Jahr 1987 und hat sich seitdem von einem kleinen Umzug mit gerade mal zwei tausend Teilnehmern zu einer großen Feier entwickelt, woran Tausende von Darstellern aus aller Welt beteiligt sind.

Um den Beginn eines neuen Jahrzehnts zu feiern, fand neben der Neujahrsparade in London auch Feuerwerk sowie andere Veranstaltungen statt.
