Storyline


A launch ceremony of innovative application of 5G+8K/4K/VR technologies to be used in broadcasting China Media Group (CMG)'s 2020 Spring Festival Gala was held in the Beijing Media Center on Tuesday.

CMG President Shen Haixiong attended the ceremony.

The 5G network has fully covered the main venue and sub-venue of the gala. The CMG will adopt the 5G+8K technology to realize multi-camera shooting and produce an 8K gala.

The 4K signals for 5G-based motion shot and landscape have been linked with the gala's production system.

Moreover, a virtual network interactive system (VNIS) will be used for the first time at the gala, bringing a new viewing experience.

Viewers can watch the gala on the application of cctv.com and the application of news.cctv.com.

Actively promoting innovative applications like 5G, 4K/8K, virtual reality and artificial intelligence, the CMG will use the gala as a platform to bring new experiences for viewers through innovative audio-visual technologies.
